There is no bacon like Old Major Bacon. It is the best smoked bacon, and many have said it is actually “the best damned bacon” and we agree (but we are biased). Old Major Bacon is completely different than any bacon you might buy at the store. We don’t pump our bacon full of water. In-fact, we use a dry brine method to extract water OUT of the pork. This concentrates the pork flavor prior to smoking.
Make sure nobody is around when you eat Old Major Maple Bourbon Bacon because you are likely to smack someone. It is that good! But hey, we are biased. We dry cure Indiana pork belly and we add in a heap of brown sugar and bourbon. When it’s time to smoke, we smoke with Indiana maple which imparts a mild maple smokeyness that takes this bacon to the next level.
This isn’t wimpy bacon. Old Major Maple Bourbon Bacon is smoked and seasoned and comes in 1LB (16oz) packages. Get you some and tell your friends they can’t have any.
